I went to three places to have a mailbox key copied before Access Locksmith. The first place told me they could make the copy, however the key did not work. The next place told me they weren't sure, but would refund me if it didn't work. They had to refund me. Finally, Home Depot told me they definitely couldn't make the key, but Access Locksmith could.
I promised Access Locksmith that if they could make the copy, I would write a good review. Here it is. The key not only worked as promised, but it was quick and affordable! Thank you!
After getting a key made at HD that didn't work, Access was able to provide quick service and clearly explain and differentiate between different key types. True professionals and great people!
Brought in a small obscure key that I needed multiple copies of. They didn't have something to work from (no blank key was that small) but they were willing and successful in making not one but 4 copies of the key from scratch! Highly recommend.
I have had many issues with locksmiths in the past. Sometimes a key is cut that doesn't match what I want, sometimes what looks like the right key is not a good match... this is none of those. Every single time I have gone to Access Locksmith, my keys are done expertly and perfectly. I no longer even have to bring my original as a backup when testing the copy for the first time, because they are that good! Work is done quickly, always a match for the keys, tons of options for decorative keys, chains, etc. When they relocated to 6th ave from around the corner on 23rd street, I almost cried because I thought they had closed. If you need keys cut, this is your one and only stop.
They moved to 725 6th street. Either way, they were so nice and so quick! Cheap too! It was only 4ish bucks for a regular key and a mail key. Highly recommend!
Here's a response that should be easy to memorize - "I'm sorry, I don't have a blank that matches your key. I can't help you."
Instead, he cut a key then charged me for it and when I looked at it, it was obviously not the same as my original.
And of course it doesn't work.
That is not smart business.
This is my go-to key-making place, and I'll go out of my way to go here for my keys. They're extremely efficient and reasonably priced, as well as being very friendly! While I've had issues with keys made at other places, I haven't had a problem with a key from here!
I had the best experience with this locksmith. They were quick to come, efficient, so pleasant and went to extra effort.
I went to 3 hardware stores trying to get a house key made and none of them had the blank for it. I went here and the key was done in less than 5 minutes, didn't cost much, and worked on the first try.
Outstanding service, As a independent contractor I've searched for months to replace a broken truck key, NO ONE DOES THIS SERVICE, these guys do, was working in there neighborhood and stumbled upon this gem of a business, auto key replaced for $45.00 great value ( I produced my own blank from dealer) I have already referred business to these guys, I strongly recommend them and look forward to doing business with them again in the near future
Quick service, no issues at all, easily copied all my keys. Would definitely return
I locked myself out of my apartment. I called Access and they came in about 15 minutes and had me back in my apartment in 10 minutes. Very courteous and professional! Reasonably priced!
Renee was awesome and efficient. Sent me a knowledgeable locksmith to change my lock. Everyone was professional and nice. Reasonable prices.
I've used them many times throughout the years and I always have a great experience. They've become my go-to locksmiths. I'd definitely recommend them!
I was in a pinch. Lock busted in the morning and couldn't lock my door. Called this place and a few others for a quote. Judged them all buy response time, price and professional attitude. Rene and Rich were the best in all categories. I did pick a very expensive solution from Multilock so it was costly, but knowing from research, the price was reasonable and the service was great.
Knowledgeable locksmiths...I had several keys made fir houseguests for the holidays and they were quick and affordable as well as respectful.
I cannot vouch for their lock changing services, but I got three keys made for $2 each and it took less than five minutes. Plus the guy there is very personable and professional. (On a side note, avoid Home Depot for your key making needs!)
I called Access to send someone to change the cylinder of a back door lock in our office. They gave me an accurate estimate of what the fee would be and told me they would send someone to do the job the next day.
Although they told me he would arrive in the afternoon, I was delighted to find that the person came much earlier (around 11:00 am). His name was Terry and was very polite. I showed him the lock that needed to be fixed and he was done in about 20 minutes. He did a terrific job. He gave me the bill, we paid, and then he was on his merry way. Easy as lemon pie.
5/5 Would call again!
I really like these guys! It's a tiny place on 23rd street that serves it's purpose and more! I don't even live in the area, but I always go here, because they are nice, fast, efficient and very reasonable! You guys are great! Thanks for providing such good service!
I called Access after seeing all the good reviews on yelp. I wanted to have a high security deadbolt installed on my door, the apartment I moved into didn't have one.
When I called to schedule the appointment, I asked how much it would cost and they me it would be $258.50 for the lock to be installed on a metal door. I asked if they took credit cards and he said yes, so I scheduled and appointment for 10am on Saturday morning.
At 10:20 no one had come yet, so I called them. The guy called me at 10:45 and said that he got hung up and was going to come to me next, in about 30 min. I had another appointment so I told him we had to reschedule. He agreed to come the following Saturday at 10.
Saturday comes and they guy is late again. He shows up just before 11 after calling me 3 times because he couldn't remember the address. It was disrespectful of my time and totally unprofessional. When he finally arrives and installs the lock he tells me it's going to be $295.00 plus a fee for the visit and he wanted to charge me 3% additional because he didn't have a way to take a credit card. Really??? I asked them if he took credit cards when I made the appointment and they said yes.
Summary: unorganized, unprofessional, and hidden fees
If you don't want the runaround, pass on these guys. It seems they are only able to handle copying keys.
